Dear Diary

When I was 12 years old, my sister, Shirley, gave me my first diary.  It had a lock and key and I could write whatever I wanted in it and keep it safely locked away from my brother’s eyes.  I still have that diary and was thinking about it the other day while I listened to CBC Radio.  There is a show on CBC called Grownups Reading Things They Wrote as Children.  It is hilarious.  People read out loud to an audience diary entries or stories that they wrote when they were kids. So I dug out my diary this weekend and yep, it is funny.  I thought I would share a bit with you.  I can’t share everything, because I wrote about every boy I liked and every girl I hated.

Enjoy, and let me know if you would like to see more.
